Chilli's

Headed to Chilli's in tanglin mall yesterday for a late dinner when steph nai joel came to visit. (Also bc nai was raving about the molten chocolate cake and wanted to have it)

Shared the new Chicken Club Quesidilla- $22 with Steph, which came with rice, black bean stew and guacamole. We really loved the quesadilla and its multiple layers of chicken, guacamole, beans, rice and peppers. It was steph's first time having it and i think she was won over. :-) 

The generous serving of guacamole allowed it to be slathered on our quesadilla, or enjoyed on its own. I didn't really like the black beans (i believe they are an acquired taste) while steph found them alright. 

Of course, what we came here for- the Molten Chocolate Cake- $16. You cannot tell from this picture but it is the biggest I have ever seen, larger than 4 fists combined and could definitely be shared among 3-4 people. It came with a large scoop of vanilla icecream, and chocolate sauce poured over. The cold icecream caused the chocolate sauce to create a hard shell, much to our excitement. :-) 

"Like the macs icecream cone!" said steph. :) 

It was a really moist chocolate cake; and one can never go wrong with chocolate, vanilla and caramel. :) overall, a great dessert for sharing, although my only gripe would be that the center was not quite as molten as i expected. Definitely worth the price! 

Being a busy restaurant, food comes quickly, as does the bill! If i'm not wrong they are popular for their refillable mexican chips n dip so you can try that out, as well as lunch sets that are value for money. :-)
