For those who are unfamiliar with Ambush, it aims to serve casual European dining. :)
We were initially deterred by the long queue, but after walking around almost all of Junction 8, we decided to head back to queue!
To our pleasant surprise the queue moved really quickly as tables were being turned over (this also meant that food was served with minimal waiting time!)
The menu was pretty extensive and we were spoilt for choice :) mostly because we wanted to have everything!
Decided to share some Garlic Bread to start- which was garlic toasted focaccia bread. :)
Loved that they chose focaccia since it definitely enhanced the taste of the garlic!
It was warm fluffy and crispy all the same time- definitely satisfying the bread-lovers in us :)
Jac & Gid wanted a meaty option- and so we had the Rib-Eye Steak to share as well.
Not really a fan of steak, but I think they found this to be pretty decent given the reasonable prices. :)
We also ordered the Squid Ink Seafood Paella, which we really enjoyed! The fish roe on top complemented the dish, and it came with fair amounts of seafood- mussels, clams and prawns :)
The last thing we ordered was the Prawn & Bacon Aglio Olio, which we all really enjoyed! The crispy bacon pieces flavoured the dish well, alongside the toasted pinenuts which gave the dish much texture :) It was tasty, yet light!
We were all really full at the end of the meal, but I will definitely come back in future or visit the other outlets :)
A really good choice especially if you are looking for a quick and relatively inexpensive way to satisfy your cravings for European food- pastas are about $12-$13!
