S.wine

did a family drive up to kuala lumpur end of last month and my relatives took us to S.wine for lunch it is a cozy deli tucked in the corner of Ben's Independent Grocer i appreciate warm lighting and complimentary bread and butter in eateries a lot (i m frowning at you Cafe Cartel)

warm pork confit, watermelon and lychee salad - RM24

i ve never tried pork in salad but it worked fruits were very refreshing one of the best salads i've ever had i would ask for parsley to be omitted but that's up to taste preferences

momofuku-inspired pork buns - RM21

i just googled momofuku 'momofuku is a group of award-winning restaurants owned by chef-founder David Chang' who seems to have perfected pork (belly) buns cool i m not a fan of pork buns but my dad is and he says these were good so i trust that these were good

fun fact: the inventor of instant noodles is also a mr. momofuku

the english fry up - RM39

in typical 'big breakfast' style i liked the pork sausage but nothing particularly impressive not a must try

sloppy piggy burger with mexicana pulled pork - 26

my little brother is a picky teenager and he finished all of this

pork and beef meatballs - RM26

best dish we had imo meatballs were cooked well and we finished every last bit of the sauce

in general S.wine has the Dempsey vibe going for it be it in terms of furnishing, quality of food, presentation, service etc. except that it costs a fraction of the price (~SGD120 for 8 / there is food unpictured) very nice i would want to visit again on my next trip to KL
